Test the uncertain part before committing to the whole.
Proposed engagement scopeThe work to clarify
A proof of concept should answer a question that affects the next decision. Can the assistant retrieve the right source? Can it distinguish an exception from a routine request? Can the proposed workflow fit the operator’s day? A strong experiment states that uncertainty before building the demonstration.
How an engagement can work
Prototype work can explore conversational interfaces, retrieval over approved documents, agent-assisted workflows and new interaction patterns. Use synthetic or explicitly approved data first. Evaluate realistic failures as well as successful examples, and compare the prototype with the current process. A promising result is evidence for the next stage, not proof of production readiness.
Deliverables to agree
- Experiment brief and measurable success criteria
- Bounded prototype with documented limitations
- Evaluation findings and a go, revise or stop recommendation
A practical starting point
Bring the hypothesis and the decision it will inform. Agree the test set, review process and data boundary. NEO remains a separately scoped concept; this website does not establish its deployment or product readiness.
